Meeting Rooms & Event Spaces

We have a range of modern, light and creative spaces in our award-winning straw-bale building that are perfect for accommodating your meetings or events.

Room hire starts from £15 per hour and we offer bespoke events packages to suit your budget. Find out more about our building including accessibility features here.

Our friendly Front of House team to welcome you and your guests
On-site tech support for basic troubleshooting

Available upon request for free:

A 49” Ilyama monitor (mounted on a mobile tv stand) with HDMI connection, Apple AirPlay, and webcam for full video conferencing. Perfect for presenting to smaller groups.
Flipchart board and paper
Lectern
Extra seating options: cushioned chairs, benches, beanbags, cushions, hard chairs with backs.

For extra charge with at least one week of advance notice, we offer:

In-house refreshments (beginning at £1.50 per head for instant coffee, tea and water or from £2.50 per head to add fresh coffee, juice and biscuits)
Catering from locally-sourced suppliers and ingredients to accommodate all dietary needs while fitting various budgets and tastes.
Our Meeting Owl which creates an immersive hybrid meeting experience using it’s 360° camera, microphone and speaker. This can be used in any room and is best suited for 10 people maximum sat in a circle around it. More info can be found here.
Depending on our programming and your booking, we occasionally offer technology from our kit room, such as: iPads, laptops, headphones, virtual reality headsets and more.

The Main Studio

A flexible space perfect for conferences, presentations, film screenings, workshops, exhibitions and more. This space has a folding wall which can be opened fully to merge with the foyer area or closed for more privacy. Alongside the amenities (listed above) included in all our rooms, the Main Studio also features:

Panasonic projector and built-in PA system, which can play content via: HDMI, USB Type C, VGA, Mini DisplayPort. Apple Airplay connectivity is also available (from Mac devices only).
Pegboard walls (currently in use for our ‘Foundations for the Future’ exhibition until end of 2025).
A removable Living Room-style area with sofas, rug and coffee table.

Upon request, for extra charge we can offer a full hybrid setup including:

Audio – 5.1 Surround Sound or Bose Active Speaker System
Wireless microphones (1-4)
Wireless Lavalier system (1-2)
Wired microphone options
Allen & Heath QU16 Digital Mixer

Capacity: Depends on your event and room set up. For rough guidance, the room seats approx 60 people theatre-style and approx 25 people boardroom-style.

Western Room

A meeting room with a large window overlooking Dundry Hill. Features our custom ash table with remnants from a bonfire back in 2008 on Dundry Hill, where people recounted their memories of past KWMC projects. Perfect for meetings, co-working and workshops. Alongside the amenities included in all our rooms, this room also features:

Logitech Group PTZ camera and Conference intercom so video-callers can see/hear the physical room.
LG 42” Television – HDMI Connection with USB Type C dongle. Apple Airplay connectivity available (for Mac devices only).

Capacity: 14 people

Pricing: Day Rate: £140. Hourly Rate: £20

Truth Room

A meeting room with our ‘Truth Window’ which showcases the strawbales used to build KWMC. Perfect for meetings, co-working and workshops.

Capacity: 10-12 people

Pricing: Day Rate: £105. Hourly Rate: £15

A space for small meetings or working, ideal for private conversations, online meetings, or working alone. Now kitted with a Mac with the Adobe Suite for editing films and photos.
