Do you enjoy nature and want to discover more about the birds and wildlife visiting your garden?
For local people living around Knowle West plus creatives and technologists from Bristol and beyond:
Join a fun, hands-on creative project, meet local people, and help design something that can benefit Knowle West community.
Together, we’ll be co-creating Nature Listening Kits that people can use in their gardens to identify local birds and wildlife. Imagine coming back home from a trip out and seeing what birds have visited your garden whilst you’ve been gone!
The kits use simple electronics and local AI technology. We need your ideas and feedback to help make them easy and accessible for everyone to use.
No experience needed. Whether you’re interested in nature, technology, AI, creativity, or just trying something new, everyone is welcome!
All materials are provided, and there’ll be free drinks and a buffet dinner too.
Schedule
- 6 – 6:20pm: Arrive, settle in, enjoy dinner
- 6:20 – 6:40pm: Introduction
- 6:45 – 7:45pm: Join a creative hands-on activity station to help co-create the nature listening kits.
- 7:45 – 8pm: Feedback on project and wrap up of session

Every session is the same format. We’ll be developing the ideas further each time. You’re very welcome to come along to one, two, or all three. By the end, we hope to have co-created kits which local people living in/near Knowle West can take home.
Access Needs
We particularly welcome people who face barriers within the arts and technology sectors, including women, people from the global majority (African, Asian, Indigenous, Latin American, or mixed-heritage), working-class people, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent people, disabled people, and those who are out of work.
