Schools Programme

We work with local South Bristol secondary schools, colleges and Adult Learning Provisions, bringing our hands-on, inclusive and engaging workshops to your students, for FREE!

Our Approach

At KWMC we champion STEAM over STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths. We believe that the inclusion of Arts encourages a creative lens for solving the challenges of our collective future.

What skills will young people develop?

Our current schools offer is based on our Maker City programme. Young people will learn about a range of skills and pathways, including:

  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Architecture
  • Retrofit construction
  • Design
  • Critical Thinking

“I wish they had opportunities like this when I was at school – it’s a different way of learning and the young people need it – especially young people with SEND. They can actually learn with their hands and have a break from sitting down and writing all day.”
