The Good Times is a special newspaper celebrating 30 years of KWMC. For three decades, we’ve brought people together through arts, technology and care, supporting creative projects, community innovation, skills development and local action in Knowle West and beyond.
Packed with memories, milestones, photos and stories from the people who’ve shaped our journey, the newspaper takes you on a playful time-travelling adventure from 1996 to 2026 and even 2056. Along the way, you’ll discover some of the amazing people and projects that have helped shape KWMC, plus activities that invite you to imagine what’s next and add your own stories.
Over the years, KWMC has worked with more than 27,500 participants, delivered over 12,500 sessions, supported 934 businesses and enterprises, collaborated with more than 1,500 artists and associates, and generated an estimated £15 million in social value. But behind every number is a person, and we’re so proud that KWMC has played a part in so many people’s stories. We can’t wait to see what we create together over the next 30 years!
Pop into KWMC to read a copy in our reception area with a cuppa (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) and view the Foundations for the Future exhibition which inspired the newspaper, or click the button below to read it online.
If you try any of the activities in the newspaper, we’d love to see what you create. Email ella.chedburn@kwmc.org.uk or tag us on social media @knowlewestmedia.
