In 2016 Knowle West Media Centre offered a creative course for young women, combining digital design, laser-cutting and skateboarding.
Skater Girls offered a series of exciting weekly workshops, including:
– skateboarding at Campus Pool, with tuition from skilled skaters
– designing and building laser cut skateboards with KWMC: The Factory
– developing photography skills during a skating photoshoot, working with professional photographers
– showcasing boards and photos at an exhibition and celebration event
