The South Bristol Gaming & Anime Expo returns in 2017, with two days of retro gaming, Virtual Reality gaming, manga illustration, Minecraft and more.

The weekend Expo was bigger than the year before, with more games, Virtual Reality, robotics, manga illustration, anime, fan art, plushie making, Minecraft, and games design workshops!
The event, organised by our Jump Studios programme, is suitable for all ages.
Activities included:
Retro gaming: SEGA Mastersystem I & II, SEGA Megadrive, Nintendo Gameboy, Nintendo64, SNES, NES, Nintendo WII, Playstation 3, XBox360 and more…
Virtual Reality Gaming: HTC Vive.
Workshops: Jump into Games Design; Make your own comic (sign up on arrival, limited spaces), Make a plushie.
Anime Screening: selection of anime films throughout the day.
Cosplay photoshoot: come dressed as your favourite characters and have pics taken in our photography studio.
Emerging Artists Gallery: view amazing artwork from illustrators, game and character designers and comic creators.
GeekOut: fancy dress box with more opportunities to take professional pics.
Board Games: selection of games available all day.
Competitions: our retro gaming team will host a range of competitions, which will include prizes!
Dealers: pick up some merchandise from dealers including 8bit Planet.
The 2015 and 2016 Expos featured retro video gaming, a computer hack where young and old took apart old computers and consoles and transformed them into tech-art masterpieces, manga drawing masterclasses, anime film screenings and a Lightsabre Combat Workshop with Ludosport.
