We believe that lively, profitable communities are created by people making a living doing what they love.

From 2013-2015 the Green & Digital Business Programme explored a new way of doing business. The aim of the programme was to develop a new approach to enterprise and skills development, making the most of new ‘green’ and digital technologies to provide opportunities to Knowle West and the wider South Bristol community.

The programme, referred to as Do What You Love, aimed to create jobs for local people by supporting them to start up new community enterprises which would also have a positive social and economic impact on the local area.

Do What You Love went on to inspire a six-month pilot programme of digital manufacturing and making, which took place in the disused Eagle House Youth Centre from November 2014. The programme offered training and employment to local residents and resulted in the production of nearly 500 pieces of furniture.
