Young People
Unleash your creativity and shape the future!
Experiment with new technologies, develop skills as a leader or media-maker and enjoy being creative! Our free young people’s programme (mostly for ages 10-17) offers a range of after-school groups, creative courses, work experience, training opportunities and holiday activities.

Ongoing Projects for Young People
Work Experience
Gain hands-on experience in design, architecture, social justice, engineering, sustainability and more with our industry partners. You’ll work on live briefs at KWMC and The Factory, building real-world creative skills.
During the programme you will:
- Develop confidence in work skills including communication and teamwork.
- Visit locations around the city of Bristol, to learn from professionals about their workplace and jobs.
- Learn about a variety of job roles in STEAM* industries. These job roles might include engineers, construction workers, software developers, designers, architects and more!
- Get involved with live projects at the Media Centre, KWMC The Factory, and the local community.
- Learn from professionals about career and education pathways into a variety of future workplaces.
*We are champions of STEAM over STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. We believe that the inclusion of Arts encourages a creative lens for solving challenges of our collective future.
There are 30 spaces available. Please note we will prioritise young people who live or study in BS4, BS3 5**, BS13 and BS14
Week 1 | 29 June – 3 July 2026
