This summer sees our biggest holiday programme for young people yet! We have five weeks of activities, ranging from coding and app-making to sculpture, music and outdoor activities. We hope there will be something for everyone; take a look and let us know what you fancy:
Young Rewired State Festival of Code
Monday 28th July – Sunday 3rd August (doors open 8.30am-6pm; guided activity 9.30am-4pm)
A week of coding, app-making and fun. Design and make your own app – no experience necessary, mentors will be on hand to help you. From Monday to Thursday we’ll be making and coding at KWMC; from Friday to Sunday we’ll be at Plymouth University presenting our apps to a team of judges!
Ages 8 – 18 (Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult to Plymouth University)
Free but participants will need to pay for travel to Plymouth

Sculpture and Animation
Monday 4th – Friday 8th August – POSTPONED
XLR Urban Music Festival
Tuesday 12th – Friday 15th August (Workshops 11am-4pm; Performances 5-9pm)
A celebration of local music culture featuring live performances, graffiti, urban sports and much more. Now in its fourth year, XLR 2014 offers an even bigger selection of acts, extended hours and even more opportunities to get involved.

Taking it to the Streets
Monday 18th – Friday 22nd August (10am-4pm)
A week of KWMC activities in parks and outdoor spaces around Knowle West.

KWMC Summer Programme
Tuesday 26th – Friday 29th August (10am-3pm)
Lots of creative and digital activities to choose from. Workshops to be confirmed, but in previous years we’ve offered animation, performing arts, photography, music and more.
