A new co-created artwork welcoming you to KWMC by illustrator Yoli Ward-Streeter and the creative Young People of Jump Studios.
Jump Studios Young People created drawings to music that have inspired this artwork. The words in the artwork are by Young People gathered during a spoken-word workshop with Poet Mo Ali.
What is Jump Studios?
Jump Studios is Knowle West Media Centre’s programme for young people aged 10 to 18. Jump Studios believe that everyone is creative and their programme reflects that, exploring a wide range of art, tech and media activities. They provide a series of after-school groups, creative courses, work experience, training opportunities and in-school sessions! Jump Studios are committed to diversifying the creative industries and using the power of creativity to create positive social change in Bristol and beyond.

Artist Biography
Yoli Ward-Streeter is an illustrator and workshop facilitator based in Bristol. Her work centres on the body and the vibrancy and energy that can be gained from exaggerating the human form. The images reflect the positivity found in everyday life. She has an affinity for creating work within communities and public spaces. Building a space for everyone to be creative and encouraging ideas is at the heart of Yoli’s practice. Yoli’s work aims to be for anyone and everyone, with recurring themes of connection, community and self-love.
The artwork was installed on 15-22 March 2022 and was celebrated with Jump Studios young people, parents and KWMC neighbours during the Jump Studios Creative Hub session on Wednesday 23 March 2022 at 5-6pm. For more information, please RSVP via email at Georgia@KWMC.org.uk.
