Do you want to develop your products, marketing and sales?
MADE: Business Support matches existing creative businesses and entrepreneurs with the support they need to grow. Businesses can benefit from 12 hours of flexible support, and access a variety of business focused workshops and tailored 1-2-1 support.
MADE in South Bristol is a part of MADE, The Factory’s creative enterprise support programme
– South Bristol based creative businesses, sole traders and freelancers (currently trading) who are looking for support to grow their business and ideas.
– Applicants and participants must be over 18 years of age
Participation in Made in South Bristol: Business Support is fully funded meaning there is no cost to you as a participant.
This programme is not suitable if you are not a registered business or currently trading. To join the programme, you must be registered either with Companies House or HMRC for self employment.
If you are just starting out and have not registered your business or started trading yet, the Exploring Creative Enterprise strand may be more suitable for you.
The programme begins with private diagnostic sessions (1 hour) to assess where you are and where you would like to be. Afterwards, businesses are provided with:
One-to-One Factory support (up to 4 hours): Factory support focuses on coaching, and advice and guidance around product development. Business can access up to 4 hours.
Focused workshops (up to 8 hours): Weekly workshops taking businesses through product development (product design, sustainability and values), messaging (branding, digital content and websites) and finally marketing and sales (digital marketing, social media, online selling).
Workshops are delivered by The Factory and experts who specialise in working with small creative businesses. (Workshop schedule coming soon)
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MADE in South Bristol: Business Support will be delivered online only until further notice, and we are unable to provide production support at this time.
MADE in South Bristol: Business Support will start from early March 2021.
Our flexible business support is provided over a three month period. During this time participants will be invited to Factory community events (including meet-ups and talks), with the option to join the Factory as a full member beyond this time (not compulsory).
Participants can choose to explore other Factory activity outside of MADE such as machine inductions, taster sessions, and machine hire at their own pace.
Please note that additional activity is COVID dependent and will be delivered in line with Factory availability and the latest government advice around social distancing and health and safety. Follow-on activity cannot currently be used to count towards the 12 hours support you receive as a participant on this programme.
Support is available to help you get online and participating comfortably. Please email Emma with any access requirements or technical questions.
Business Support is open for applications until 21 February 2021 (23:59pm).
You can apply now by pressing the Apply Now button or using this online form. If writing is not an accessible format for you or you prefer not to write, please contact Emma and she can help fill out the form.
Alternatively, you can record yourself answering the questions by speaking into your phone (either video or audio). If you prefer to record video or audio, your recording should be no longer than 5 minutes. E-mail your video / audio file application to Emma Boulton (email@example.com) and include which strand of the programme you’re applying to in the title of your e-mail.
