Location: KWMC: The Factory, Filwood Green Business Park
This day long introductory workshop will take you through the basic principles of crafting and animating a robotic puppet.
We will be using widely available materials and a kit of basic electronics to develop characters and program their behaviours to bring them to life.
Facilitated by Robert Nixdorf and Alice Haynes. Robert is a maker and robot coder and Alice is a Soft Robotics student at University of Bristol.
Lunch will be provided free of charge on both days, and we highly encourage all participants to remain at The Factory over the lunchtime break to meet and connect with each other and develop discussions around the workshop content and themes.
This workshop is free and open to participants and applicants of the ‘Making It’ training programme. You must be able to attend both workshop days.
Making It is part of the WIDJET programme delivered in partnership with the West of England Combined Authority.
