Interested in designing products for the home and kitting out a brand new build?
This summer KWMC: The Factory is running a week-long design and making course as part of We Can Make, a local project that’s developing new ways of creating locally made, affordable and sustainable homes.
From 21st August to 25th August, The Factory will be kitting out a prototype house, made from straw bales and designed by White Design, that has been built next to Filwood Community Centre. Sign up to the free course and play a pivotal role in designing and making items for the brand new kitchen! Be inspired to develop your own enterprising ideas.
Learn how to use the digital fabrication techniques and equipment available at The Factory, work alongside local designers and artists and have your work showcased in the test homes, which will open to the public this September.
Open to young people aged 18-30 based in Bristol.
Please contact KWMC: The Factory if interested on 0117 403 2306 or thefactory@kwmc.org.uk
The training has been funded by the Scape Reinvest Communities Fund.
