30/01/2019
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Location: Knowle West Media Centre
The first of our Living. Working, Making Together monthly workshops will be a sewing and making hour inspired by Ellie Shipman’s project FILWOOD FABRIC.
You will get the chance to create cushion covers, bunting, soft toys and more out of fabric made by artist Ellie Shipman, which features drawings by local people. You can take home any of the products you make too!
There will also be demos of a digital embroidery machine and the opportunity to find out how you could be part of more sewing, making and embroidery workshops in the future.
No previous knowledge or experience is required as there will be people to help and support you. If you do have lots of skills and experience that’s great too – you can help us all!
All materials provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Snacks and drinks provided. Feel free to bring and eat your own lunch during the hour too.
As part of the Living, Working, Making Together exhibition we will be running a free monthly lunchtime workshop from 12-1pm on the last Wednesday of every month, inspired by the work of exhibition artists: Myah Calista, Marc Blazel, Brave Bold Drama and Ellie Shipman.
