100 Years of Knowle West Style

17/10/2019
12:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: Meet outside Filwood Community Centre (Barnstaple Road / Filwood Broadway)

Experience two new artworks that mark the centenary of council housing in Bristol, hosted in secret locations. Journey through time and hear tales of Knowle West, told by those who call it home…

This site-specific experience will feature new work by live performance artist Holly Beasley-Garrigan and artist/architect George Lovesmith, developed with local residents as part of the project 100 Years of Knowle West Style. Since Spring 2019, 100 Years has been uncovering, exploring and celebrating the living heritage of Knowle West, which is full of stories, characters and histories that are often overlooked and under-valued.

Book your free one-hour slot and experience both artworks. Meet on the green outside Filwood Community Centre (top of Filwood Broadway) at the start of your time slot and the 100 Years team will come and collect you, ready for your journey…
