Every month we invite our members to catch up over a virtual lunch or a well earned cup of tea. The aim is to unite makers and give them a safe private space to be a part of an online maker community.
The format is simple: a little show and tell, a little chat and the opportunity to share ideas and support one another in a relaxed informal environment. These sessions also offer the chance to pick the brains of our Factory technicians on materials, kit, processes or just your latest ideas.
Participation levels are completely optional, you are welcome to just observe (with or without camera) or you may prefer to take a few minutes to present an idea or project to the group. We are a friendly space for makers of all abilities. No ideas will be too small and no ambition too big.
In recent weeks we have covered everything from pop-up greetings cards to mechanical ornithological drawing devices! The session is closed and private, available only to Factory Members.
Login details are circulated to all members in advance of each session by email. If you have any questions at all or do not receive an email please contact Charlie, our Factory Producer charlie@kwmc.org.uk. You can also contact Charlie if you have any support or access requirements.
We currently use the free video conferencing platform Jitsi to deliver these events.
