Opening times

We are open Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm except for Bank Holidays.

We are a small team so please make sure we know to expect you before setting off as we work across two sites and in the community.

Accessibility and facilities

Accessibility

The Factory is wheelchair accessible (access to upper floors is via a lift) and we have an accessible toilet. We welcome assistance dogs.

We can reserve a parking space in front of The Factory for blue badge holders; please contact us in advance by emailing thefactory@kwmc.org.uk to arrange this.

If you would like to have a chat in private about any access needs, just let one of our team know and we will do our very best to accomodate you.

Refreshments

The Factory has tea and coffee making facilities, drinking water and a small selection of snacks available for which we accept cash donations.

We have a kitchen area with a fridge and microwave if you wish to bring food to consume on site.

Our nearest shop is the Morrisons Local petrol station on Hengrove Way which is a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive if you need to pick up food or essentials when you are here. You can also get freshly prepared hot and cold lunches to eat in or take away from The Park Centre Cafe on Daventry Road.

Finding us

Our address is  KWMC The Factory, Units 24 and 25, Filwood Green Business Park, Filwood Park Ln, Bristol BS4 1ET

By bus:

There are 2 routes from the city centre that finish at Hengrove Park; the m1 (to filwood broadway stop) or the 70 (to filwood green business park stop). They run every 15-20 minutes during the day (Monday-Friday).

By bike:

Bike loops are located by the Reception at Filwood Green Business Park. Please bring a lock to secure your bike.

By train:

Our nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads. There is a taxi rank at the station and your journey to The Factory should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. There is no direct bus route to The Factory from the station, but you can catch the m1 from Redcliffe.

By car:

There is free parking available onsite at Filwood Green Business Park, although please bear in mind that spaces are limited. Please do not park in front of the roller shutter doors of any units.

Electric vehicle charging points are available on site and can be operated by a token which can be arranged by our staff.

Please be aware that as of 28th November 2022, there is a Clean Air Zone (CAZ) in place around Bristol. The Factory and KWMC Leinster Avenue are not located within the CAZ and there are many options for reaching us which avoid it altogether, but you may cross a boundary on your route to us depending on your starting point. Check the CAZ boundary  and further information at the Bristol City Council website here.
