Control Alt Delete (Jump Studios)

Control Alt Delete is a weekly session for 10 – 16 year olds that provides exciting opportunities to get hands-on with new technology.

What?

Sessions take place every Monday and aim to inspire the next generation of digital producers: young people who don’t just consume technology but build, test and experiment together.

Activities include:

robot building
building in Minecraft
learning how drones work
Virtual Reality
working with MicroBits
Computer Aided Design

Who?

The sessions are suitable for young people aged 10-16.  Control Alt Delete aims to provide a fun and exciting space for young people to develop the skills and tools to become creators and inventors.

When talking about the tech workshops that we put on over the summer one young person said, “It’s been the best day of my life!”

When?

The Autumn term starts on Monday 11th September and sessions run every Monday evening during school term time from 4.30 – 6pm. Forthcoming activities include:

18th September: Visit from MekaMon, a Bristol based robotic company. Think Robot Wars meets Virtual Reality!
25th September: Have you ever wanted to fly a drone? Come along and have a go with a mini drone.
9th October: 3D painting using our amazing HTC vive Virtual Reality headset!
30th October: Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create your name to be 3D printed.
6th November: Learn how to create designs for a robot and get them laser cut.
