We Can Make…Homes explores new approaches to the housing crisis that have people and communities at their heart.
The We Can Make…Test Space is a place for collaboration, conversation and hands-on making; a platform to share the research so far and to develop ideas further, with the aim of enabling communities to take control of where and how homes are built – and who can build them.
From re-thinking the planning system to exploring the possibilities of flat-pack homes and community building societies, everything is up for grabs.

Hear stories about home and housing as told by Knowle West residents in a new audio artwork by Caitlin Shepard.
Marvel at wallpaper made by local people using artist Charlotte Biszewski’s Mobile Making Machine.
Explore new ways we can create affordable housing together.
See Joseph Ball’s new photography artwork celebrating the green culture of Knowle West.
4:30 – 6:30pm: Models, Money & Making It Work
Fun interactive workshop to test, review and develop prototype financial, regulatory and design models for citizen-led housing.
6:30 – 8.30pm: Test Space Opening with exhibition and drinks. Plus, FREE Homes Match-Make Service*
